Birthday Candle Blackout

The story talks about how inside the moon exists a machine that processes all the wishes that people make when they blow out the candles of their birthday cake.

Story line

  • Full shot of NY skyline with the moon.
  • We see a girl in front of a birthday cake.
  • We also see a man with a birthday cake in front of him.
  • And another woman with a birthday cake in front of her.
  • The same woman blows her candle.
  • The camera follows the smoke that goes up to moon.
  • As we go inside the moon we see this machine that contains crystal spheres with some sort of energy inside.
  • Suddenly a malfunction in the machine occurs, we see that one of the spheres gets stuck inside of the machine and the machine turns off.
  • Back in NY, we see the people that were celebrating their birthdays try to blow out the candles of their respective cakes. However, the candles have mysteriously blown out by themselves. Everyone tries to light them all again but none of flames want to remain on the candles. Back inside the moon, we see where the sphere is stuck.
  • An arm shows up on the screen and hits the machine, this action moves stuck sphere and the machine starts running again.
  • Back on the earth ,we see how the candles that didn’t want to light up earlier start burning again by themselves.
  • We see people closing their eyes indicating that they’re making a wish and blowing out their candles.
  • When the last person blows out their candle the smoke forms the title of the piece, Birthday Candle Blackout.
